I am so excited for having this planner, because I had one last year and it was sooo useful and it was so nice to write things down and never forgetting anything and just having everything under control.
It was nice to have that kind of feeling. (and it's sad that I get that feeling by having a planner.... when I should just be able to feel "in control" of my life, every day, just by living my own life?)
But still. It was nice to have it and use it, that when I started to run out of pages (by the end of the year) I was already thinking of the next journal/planner I would buy next. But I never did, until today, SEPTEMBER 2013. (I obviously bought the 2014 version, although I wish they still had 2013 planners so at least I use it for the next 3 months...)
The first planner I had (the one I just talked about from 2012) was from Barnes & Noble, it was greenish aqua, with some red and orange. It was way pretty and feminine and user friendly. It had a ton of stickers (the ones you put next to your "appointments" or important things like "Getting your nails done!" or "Girls night out!" or "Shopping" and then others more serious that said "Dentist" or "Grocery Shopping" or "Anniversary/Birthday"... And like normal planners it didn't only have room for the year it was supposed to be for, but it also had two or three months from the previous year so you could start using it and help you have a smooth transition. I miss that planner.
Anyway, I got one today and it's more than simple, it's.... very simple.
It's red, it's not too stiff, it only has the year it was mean to have and it has no stickers. The actual book is a little bigger, which is nice, but it is a lot thinner. It's just red. Red in the front and red in the back. On the front it has a "name" it's on the upper right corner and it says "2014 Planner." And I got it at the Dollar Store.
Knowing my past purchase, it's hard to see I bought my next planner in the Dollar Store, but truth is, something about its nature called my attention, and I couldn't deny it. There was something about it that made me look at it and actually take it with me, I still don't know what it is. Maybe it was its simplicity, but I still think it was something beyond that... So we'll see, maybe it's the lucky planner. The planner that will take me places next year.
